St. Paul MN, Minnetonka MN, Rochester MN, Mankato MN, Madison WI, Milwaukee WI, Chippewa Falls WI, Charlottesville VA, Des Moines IA, Sioux City SD, Duluth MN, St. Cloud MN, Austin TX, Remote – Wisconsin or Remote – Minnesota. - Develop electrical design solutions for industrial and municipal projects, especially water and wastewater facilities.
- Produce and manage construction documents: detailed drawings and specifications for lighting, power distribution and control systems.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients to meet expectations.
- Provide construction administration: respond to requests for information, change orders, inspections and punch lists.
- Supervise and/or mentor other electrical engineers and designers.
- Lead and manage projects for the electrical group, including marketing, cross‑functional coordination, client engagement and communication.
- Travel as required for team meetings, client consultations, field surveys, construction observation, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer, with ability to be licensed in multiple states.
- Experience in commercial/industrial system design; experience in water and wastewater facilities is a plus.
- Experience as the electrical discipline lead on projects, reporting to a project manager or client.
- Project management experience or interest/capability to become a project manager.
- Knowledge of design codes, standards, specifications and ability to interpret them.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience.
- Proficiency in electrical codes, interior/exterior lighting design, voltage drop calculations, power distribution design, one‑line diagrams, schematics, backup power systems, and control systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience conducting field investigations, condition assessments, writing reports and interfacing with clients.
- Proficiency in short‑circuit, load flow, fault analysis, and arc flash (e.g., SKM).
- Experience with water and wastewater facility design.
- Revit and/or AutoCAD experience.
