Sr. Manager - Engineering, Testing, and Prototyping

Location: Onsite, four days per week - Kohler, WI
OpportunityThe Manager-Engineering of Testing & Prototyping is at the center of product innovation leading new product development testing and prototyping in North America. This leader is responsible for implementing testing and prototyping strategy for current and future capabilities, driver reliability, durability, simulation and hyper accelerated testing globally across various product categories.
Responsibilities- Lead North America Lab Operations
- Manage testing to safety, quality, delivery and cost targets: performance, durability, life cycle, failure analysis, legal claim, material identification and analysis, qualification, verification and listing test reports.
- Coordinate with Project Leaders and Engineers to ensure on time testing delivery
- Lead lab capacity studies
- Lead improvement of laboratory KPIs
- Lead upgrades, addition and maintenance of lab infrastructure
- Implement 5S through all the labs
- Lead Global Lab Capabilities
- Create a roadmap for current and future capabilities
- Develop common systems & procedures globally
- Lead laboratory accreditation and ISO 17025 compliance
- Ensure operating codes, standards, & compliance are met
- Foster a relationship with external partners and value-add certifications to keep up with best in class
- Define testing agendas based on product performance specifications
- Ensure correlation among global labs
- Lead simulation testing program
- Implement LIMS system
- Lead product reliability, durability, and hyper accelerated testing
- Lead North America Prototyping Operations
- Lead global footprint of internal and external prototyping capabilities
- Lead upgrades, addition and maintenance of prototyping infrastructure
- Manage prototyping safety, quality, delivery and cost targets
- Lead prototyping capacity studies
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- At least 10 years of prior New Product Development validation experience.
- At least 5 years of experience Leading product validation.
- At least 4 years of previous supervisory experience in a product development environment.
- Prototyping experience.
- Proven reliability experience.
- Experience with hyper accelerated testing desired.
- Product development experience and understanding.
- Strategic agility with a strong pragmatic approach (can define a clear vision and is able to clearly articulate immediate goals/actions).
- Ability to communicate clearly and influence at all levels.
- Operates with candor, enthusiasm, commitment and drive to achieve business results.
- Keen analytical mind, strong on planning, detail, and accuracy, and a demonstrably creative thinker.
- Willing to travel approximately 40%.

We offer day 1 benefits with applicable benefit programs from your first day on the job. The salary range for this position is $141,800 - $222,900. The specific salary offered may be influenced by experience, education, and location. This position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive.
