Are you a proactive, data-driven leader who thrives on optimizing supply chains and production schedules? Wixon, a growing and innovative flavor and spice manufacturer based in Milwaukee Wisconsin, is looking for a Procurement and Scheduling Manager to ensure the seamless execution of our production goals and customer commitments.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for driving world-class schedule attainment and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance. You’ll lead a dynamic team in procuring raw materials, coordinating plant scheduling, and maintaining efficient inventory levels—ensuring we meet the demands of our customers while keeping quality and safety at the forefront.
What You'll Do:- Lead procurement efforts for all ingredients and packaging materials based on supplier lead times, inventory levels, and production schedules to maintain OTIF performance standards.
- Analyze and resolve chronic supplier and production issues through data-driven action plans.
- Use forecasting tools to align procurement with customer demands and sales trends.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, customer service, and strategic sourcing to ensure accurate scheduling and timely delivery.
- Generate production schedules and distribution orders across multiple departments and product lines.
- Oversee contract manufacturing relationships, performance tracking, and logistics coordination (including irradiation processes).
- Report on key performance indicators: schedule adherence, OTIF, inventory discrepancies, and more.
- Promote a strong safety and compliance culture in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- A self-starter with a strategic mindset and critical thinking skills.
- At least 5 years’ experience in procurement and scheduling functions in a supply chain role - preferably in food manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis tools; knowledge of forecasting tools like John Galt is a plus.
- Proven track record of building high-performing teams and improving supply chain operations.
