Competitive Compensation: $27.88 per hour, plus $1.50 per hour shift premium. Shift: 1A, 3/4. 6:30PM-6:48AM

We are looking for a Welder to join our team! This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.

• Understand, properly set up and proficiently operate a variety of welding equipment e.g. SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, Plasma cutting, Arc Carbon Arc cutting, power tools, shop equipment, etc.
• Working from drawings, plant layouts, or verbal orders, perform a wide variety of fabrication assignments, operating a variety of power equipment and machinery.
• Working knowledge of welding symbols with the ability to weld to the specifications defined by those symbols.
• Weld to proper dimensions and to meet general test requirements.
• Work from drawings, job layouts, and sketches.
• Fit, position, and weld a variety of items e.g. frames, bases, hoppers, covers, hoods, pipes, production service equipment and machinery, etc.
• Chip and grind welds as required.
• Perform a variety of duties requiring a cutting torch.
• Safely and effectively operate all shop fabrication equipment.
• Understand different types of steel and various preheat requirements.
• Be capable of using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.

• Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
• Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Technical diploma is desired.
• Required to achieve a passing score on technical skills test and hands-on assessment.
• Must be capable of operating a forklift.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must pass State of Wisconsin structural welding certification, unlimited thickness, A-36 plate in all positions within 90-days of start date.
