Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in coordinating and managing packaging projects from the initial concept through purchase order (PO) receipt and transfer to production. This position serves as the central point of communication between sales, estimating, design, pre‑press, quality, and other related internal QPI departments to ensure seamless project execution. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing all project details, approvals, quotes, testing requirements, and internal communication, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the pre‑PO phase and successful handoff to QPI’s Production Coordinator (PC) for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities Project Coordination and Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between sales, estimating, design, pre‑press, quality, and other related internal QPI departments as required.
  • Ensure all pertinent project details are accurately communicated internally and externally.
  • Attend daily estimating calls and client‑specific meetings to align on project goals and expectations.
  • Attend customer visits in‑person internally or travel externally.
Project Entry and Documentation
  • Accurately enter all project details into the Maverik ERP system.
  • Generate and assign QPI quote numbers and maintain accurate entries in the quote log.
  • Ensure all QC details, BOM accuracy, and part numbers are properly documented in Maverik.
Approval Management / Testing Coordination
  • Oversee structural, color, proof, and sample approval processes.
  • Communicate approval requirements to relevant internal teams and follow up as needed.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to ensure the appropriate ISTA or internal shipping tests are completed.
  • Document and communicate test results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Verification of QPI quote to Customer PO, to ensure all critical facets are accurate. I.E. individual pricing, payments terms, freight terms, one‑time charges (tooling).
Information Transfer / Production Transfer
  • Ensure all required project details are finalized before transferring to Production Coordination upon PO receipt
  • Work closely with the QPI Production Coordinator (PC) to transfer all project details for actual production.
  • Ensure all internal documentation, approvals, and testing data are finalized before handoff.
  • Verify that production teams have all required information, part numbers, BOM’s, QC requirements, due dates, and any other critical information required to initiate manufacturing without delays.
Note

This role may occasionally require work outside normal hours to meet customer needs.
