Job Description Summary :Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected tomaintaina high levelof professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

Our team of family medicine physicians, along with our nurse practitioners, are committed to health and wellness. We provide comprehensive preventive care, such as annual physical exams and vaccinations. Also well trained in the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
We’re Looking For:Licensure or Certifications
Medical Assistant (MA): Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within
45 day sunless department leader has determined it is not required.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): license issued by the state in which the team member practices

GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing

Medical Assistantor LPN
,you’llplay a vital roleinthe care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.
Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
