The Role

The Administrative officer is responsible for providing support to the Cancer Care Centre through the coordination of an efficient secretarial and clerical service. The occupant is expected to perform a variety of duties including dicta phone typing, general office duties, reception duties, processing and tracking order requests.
The Administrative officer will perform all duties in an efficient manner and have sound working knowledge of Microsoft applications. The Administrative officer will have the ability to prioritise work and have organisational skills.
The Administrative officer will be responsible for dicta phone typing of patient letters and correspondence and follow up on referrals to doctors and clinics.

- Demonstrated ability to cope with a variety of tasks and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in dicta phone typing.
- Ability to multi‑task and problem solve.
- Computer literacy with recent experience with all Microsoft applications.
