Building Materials Associate
The Building Materials Associate provides effective administrative support to the site location, serves as first contact with customers and offers consultation to existing clientele.
Key activities include:
- Visualize, fulfil, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Manage incoming calls and information requests in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
- Assist in the management of operational and sales activities.
- Greet and assess customer needs in order to direct customer traffic appropriately.
- Engage customers and business associates in a friendly and professional manner, providing input, direction, and support.
- Efficiently process basic customer orders/quotes and other transactions.
- Assist customers in problem resolution.
- Develop a clear understanding of customer needs and provide relevant design and project support.
- Organize and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Perform miscellaneous office and building management tasks.
- Review, understand, and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties in compliance with safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Able to accurately assess customer project and design needs and provide proactive solutions.
- Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- High level of professionalism and personal responsibility.
Education/experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Degree or background relevant to interior design/construction or a related field preferred.
Physical requirements:
- Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 50lbs.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
- Occasional exposure to outside elements.
