Title Landman; Utah

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking an experienced Title Landman to review runsheets and prepare ownership reports for lands in Utah, primarily in the Uinta Basin. The role requires a deep understanding of Western title, meticulous analysis of complex records, and accurate ownership calculations.

• Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership by utilizing online databases or traveling to the local county courthouse to review records.
• Analyze and document research results to select relevant information for inclusion in ownership reports submitted to the client.
• Meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with shifting time frames.
• Contribute to other duties assigned by management based on business needs.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience researching surface, mineral, and leasehold title, including experience in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, or 5+ years of experience specifically in Utah.
• Ability to meet specific deadlines, daily and weekly, based on internal and client needs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication skills in writing and verbally with all levels of management and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
• Juris Doctorate (preferred).
• AAPL membership.
• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Degree in Energy Management/Commerce (preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
