Watts Construction is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead projects in the field with professionalism, urgency, and ownership.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule, enforcing safety standards, driving quality, and representing Watts with owners, architects, inspectors, and trade partners.
We are looking for a superintendent who is more than a schedule manager — we want a field leader, problem solver, and culture driver.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and site logistics
- Maintain and drive the project schedule, including short-interval planning and look-aheads
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets plans, specs, and Watts standards
- Communicate clearly with project managers, owners, design teams, and trade partners
- Document jobsite conditions, issues, delays, manpower, and daily progress
- Lead jobsite meetings and maintain accountability with subcontractors
- Identify problems early and help create solutions with urgency
- Support project closeout, punch lists, inspections, and turnover
- Commercial construction superintendent experience required
- Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, schedules, and jobsite sequencing
- Ability to lead subcontractors with fairness, consistency, and professionalism
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Safety-minded with a proactive approach to jobsite control
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong ownership mindset
- Procore experience preferred but not required
