About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator who is confident working independently as well as with a team from start to finish — including quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid development, and presentation of proposals to owners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, performs well in pre-bid walkthroughs, and is comfortable representing the company during interviews and proposal meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the full estimating process for assigned projects for the full lifecycle of preconstruction, from concept through final bid
- Interpret the construction plans, specifications
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and cost analysis
- Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for scope alignment
- Prepare bid schedules, clarifications, and value engineering options
- Bid‑Day Management & Submission, direct bid day operations, clarifications, last minute scope gap closure and final risk/margin decisions
- Coordinate with operations and project management teams during handoff
- Maintain estimating database, historical pricing, and cost benchmarking
- Pre‑bid site visits & walkthroughs
- Owner presentations & interviews
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Networking and building relationships with trade partners.
- Collaboration with Owners, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers
- Experience as a Construction Estimator (commercial construction preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
- Design Build
