Construction Manager
Lennar, a Fortune 500 leading home builder, seeks a Construction Manager to oversee the construction of homes in assigned communities. The role ensures quality control, cost management, and adherence to schedules.
Responsibilities- Oversee all construction activities from inception to move‑in, managing job sites, scheduling, and supervising trade partners to ensure adherence to project timelines and scopes of work.
- Conduct twice‑daily home walks to monitor progress, uphold quality standards, and maintain schedule compliance while optimizing profitability.
- Lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings.
- Negotiate solutions raised by inspectors and trade partners, ensuring cost‑effective resolutions that support budget adherence and identify efficiencies and best practices.
- Manage daily trade partner communications and invoice approvals through Build Pro.
- Provide trade partner feedback to the Lead Construction Manager regarding timeliness and attention to detail.
- Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and adherence to State & Federal building codes; maintain accurate safety logs and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections as required.
- Approve change orders, purchase orders, and maintain safety logs.
- Collaborate with internal teams—sales, customer care, and management—to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred or 3‑5 years' experience in home building/construction.
- Experience in residential construction management required.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Tech‑savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction management software.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Valid auto insurance coverage.
- Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and ability to read blueprints.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Regular in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours is essential. The role requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment in excess of 50 pounds. Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required.
Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
