SummaryThe Asphalt Crew Member position performs a variety of routine and complex physical labor tasks. This position assists other crew members by operating a variety of hand/power tools and heavy machinery to clean and prepare sites, apply pavement preservation products, and setup/remove cones and carpet.
Essential Functions- Loads/unloads trucks and hauls materials to the job site.
- Performs strenuous manual labor in preparing surfaces for pavement repair and maintenance.
- Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Works with team members to apply pavement preservation products such as seal coat and HA5 high-density mineral bond.
- Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Complies with all safety and OSHA regulations.
- Performs other functions as assigned.

Requirements
- Must be hard-working, dependable, and able to meet the physical demands.
- Preferably has three months or more of related work experience.
The position lifts heavy objects, walks, sits and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Days and hours may vary depending on the size and nature of the project. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work (often 20-40 hours of overtime each week).
