Member Service Representative recognizes and meets member needs by providing quality service through transactions and cross‑selling products and services in order to help Members achieve their financial dreams. The role trains and onboards team members before placement at an assigned location based on regional needs.

Full Time;
Monday – Friday 8:40am – 6:15pm
Saturday 8:40am – 2:15pm

Competitive pay starting at $17.50 per hour, with potential increases based on experience. An additional $1.00 per hour is provided for bilingual Spanish/English speakers. Performance reviews and opportunities for additional compensation are available. ResponsibilitiesMember Focus
Builds and maintains relationships with members via in‑person and phone conversations. Assesses, advises, and assists with membership. Recognizes member needs and cross‑sells products through a consultation approach. Educates members on MACU products and services. Consistently focuses on increasing member satisfaction and account retention. May follow up with members on product referrals and use lead lists for outbound (cold) calling to existing members.
Cash Transactions
Accurately maintains the cash drawer and processes transactions efficiently in accordance with policies. Assists with opening and closing procedures of the branch. Responsible for branch security, including vault combinations and security codes.
Other Responsibilities
Represents the credit union professionally in dress and behavior. Keeps work area neat and clean. Responds to email, voicemail, missed calls, and other communication promptly. Actively participates in product knowledge courses. Travel may be required. Complies with all regulations and may perform additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of credit union policies and regulations.
- Ability to prepare loan documents and cross‑sell financial services.
- Mathematical calculation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer operating skills; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Typist of at least 35 words per minute.
- At least six months of customer service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Completion during the first 90 days: MSR Certification Package including Teller Branch Checklist Products & Services, Teller Follow‑up Training, MSR Sales Certification.
Physical & Environmental Conditions- Physical demands: talk, hear, sit, use hands, stand, walk, kneel, crouch; lift up to 10lbs routinely, up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Vision requirements: close vision at 20inches or less; distance vision at 20feet or more.
- Noise environment: moderate noise typical of a business office with computers and printers.
