About This Role- Full‑time Hospitalist (days)
- Physician‑created schedule allowing time‑off flexibility
- Average patient census: 13–15 per day
- 9 daytime rounders
- Facility includes medical–surgical units, a 34‑bed closed ICU, a 42‑bed emergency department, and 8 operating rooms
- 1:1 Hospitalist‑to‑Nurse Coordinator pairing; dedicated nurse coordinator for rounding, interdisciplinary care coordination, discharging, and family phone‑call updates
- Collaborative team approach to patient care; monthly team meetings to review best practice
- Clinical Council to discuss group needs, policies, barriers
- Strong Medical Directors leadership and support
- Night shifts covered by a nocturnist team
- Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group

- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school
- Residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing/privileging process
- Current BLS Certification required before the first day of employment

Physical Requirements- Ability to see, read, and identify equipment and supplies; assess patient needs at a physician‑level caregiver
- Frequent verbal communication with providers, patients, and visitors; ability to understand spoken information quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment; frequent computer use and typing for documentation
