1844H - The Student Experience in Postsecondary Education
This course will explore the theoretical and conceptual foundations of the student experience in postsecondary education. As well, we will study the nature of work in postsecondary education that supports students' development and learning. Students in this course will review and discuss broad forms of literature/documentation that addresses various components of the student experience. A particular focus of this course will be on exploring the various outcomes of postsecondary education and examining forms of assessing the various student outcomes in and beyond postsecondary education.

Minimum QualificationsCandidates must hold a doctorate in Higher Education or a related field; have a demonstrated record of scholarship in the field of Higher Education and the subject area of the course; have practical experience related to the topic of the course; and have successful graduate teaching experience in the subject area of the course and a successful track record of teaching online, preferably using Canvas/Quercus.
Candidates must have 2+ years of work experience in student services or student affairs.

Description Of DutiesPrepare, organize, and teach this full-course graduate seminar; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; evaluate and provide students with feedback on their work.

- $11,030.36 - Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term
