All normal duties related to design, administration and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content following the course template used by other instructors; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and marking of class participation, assignments, tests and examinations; calculation and submission of grades to university officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact.
Minimum QualificationsGraduate degree in a related subject, a minimum of four years of experience in healthcare and life sciences consulting, and recent experience teaching Health Care Consulting at a post‑secondary institution. Proven excellence in teaching Health Care Consulting in a graduate degree‑granting program is highly preferred. Previous experience is the more relevant criterion; the need to acquire experience for this position is secondary.
CourseSummary
This course provides a supervised experience in the art and science of shaping client‑defined issues and applying new ideas effectively in complex organizational settings. The field application takes the form of a consulting project, and it will give students experience with techniques and approaches for problem‑solving in unstructured, ambiguous, and imperfect situations, especially where influence is achieved by expertise and persuasion rather than direct control, within a confined time frame.

Courses may be online or in‑person, depending on circumstances, so candidates must be available and comfortable with both.

Salary RatesPlease refer to CUPE 3902 Unit #3 rates for this Sessional Lecturer position.
NotesThis job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement. Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
If rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
