Description:
Practical introduction to concepts, standards and tools for the implementation of strategies in bioinformatics and computational biology. Student led discussions plus a strong component of hands‑on exercises.

- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.48 – Minimum Salary (includes 4% vacation pay)
- Sessional Lecturer I: $10,699.22 – Long Term Minimum Salary (includes 6% vacation pay)
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.22 – Minimum Salary (includes 6% vacation pay)
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,953.96 – Long Term Minimum Salary (includes 6% vacation pay)
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96 – Minimum Salary (includes 6% vacation pay)
- Sessional Lecturer III: $11,228.90 – Long Term Minimum Salary (includes 6% vacation pay)

Qualifications- PhD in Bioinformatics or related field required.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching required.
- Prior experience teaching this or similar course at university level preferred.
- R programming required.
- Delivery of lectures prepared by other instructors in this course.
- Prepare and grade assignments in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook.
- Hold office hours.
