Course DescriptionThis course examines the theoretical roots, ideological positions and research literature on public programming and education strategies deployed in museums, parks, libraries and heritage institutions. Students will critique models of schooling, experience, citizenship and critical engagement that dominate current discourse and practices. They will have the opportunity to experiment with new programming strategies in class and during selected museum visits.
