Course DescriptionThis course examines plants as defining elements in landscape design through contemporary and historical examples. Students will explore planting in relationship to physical and environmental conditions, cycles of maturation, seasonality, and sensory experience, and will be introduced to a range of disciplinary discourses and histories.

Salary (per Half‑course, Inclusive Of Vacation)- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.58
- Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.22
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.22
- Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,228.90
Please note that if rates stipulated in the collective agreement differ from those stated above, the rates in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum QualificationsProfessional degree in Landscape Architecture and a minimum of five years of professional experience focused on planting design.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching landscape architecture courses at the graduate level.
Description of Duties- Prepare and deliver course material
- Manage digital teaching materials
- Create and deliver assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
- Mark student work and submit grades
- Address student enquiries, appeals, and petitions
- Provide student contact hours
