Course DescriptionThis course aims to develop students’ abilities at an advanced level, with a focus on reading of fiction and non‑fiction. Learners develop skills to better express emotions, describe complex scenes, and narrate events and stories. Students will improve their reading comprehension, strengthen writing skills, and advance speaking and listening skills through class discussions and oral presentations. Learners who do not meet the prerequisite must go through a placement process conducted by the Department.

- Completed MA in areas related to the course or equivalent education combined with teaching experience
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Ability to clearly communicate information
- Willingness to replicate the pedagogy and evaluation techniques employed in regular teaching of this course
- Ph.D. in areas related to the course
- Experience in language teaching at the university level with evidence of superior teaching evaluations
Preparing lesson plans and lectures; delivering lectures; developing and administering grading, course assignments, tests and exams; providing scheduled office hours for academic counselling of students.
