This course will focus on masculinities and femininities in workplace settings, with an emphasis on service work around the world. We will discuss workers' lived experiences of gender regimes which are embedded within the dynamics of class, race and nation. The relationships between gender processes and workplace hierarchies will be explored.

Wednesday 13:00-15:00.
Delivery method: 100% in person. The method may change as determined by the Faculty of Arts & Science or the Women and Gender Studies Institute.

Minimum QualificationsCompleted Ph.D. with a scholarly background in areas related to the specific course.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience of a similar course at the university level. Expertise in Caribbean and/or Afro‑Asian feminisms is an asset.

Duties- Preparing the syllabus, reading list and lecture materials.
- Delivering lectures.
- Developing, marking and administering course assignments, tests and final assessments.
- Holding regular office hours.
- Communicating with students via email and Quercus.
- Managing TAs and/or graders if applicable.
