Job Summary/Basic Function

Looking for math tutors to provide academic support to students in a variety of math subjects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for helping students succeed. Becoming a math tutor will require and provide additional training.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a WSU student
• Completed Calculus I with a B+ or better, or equivalent course.
• Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in mathematics subjects, as well as a cumulative 3.0 GPA
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred

Physical Activity

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work, occasional walking and standing, exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, using a computer terminal, extensive reading, and ensuring the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
