This is the third architecture design studio in the Master of Architecture program, the third studio in the MLA program, and the first in the Urban Design Program. The studio seeks to integrate the design of architecture, the city, and landscape architecture into a single design effort and studio curriculum. It takes the future form of the city of Toronto as its subject.
Through the design of an urban project situated in Toronto, students are asked to speculate about the forms of urbanity that the city’s future development might conceivably foster or sustain. Students are asked to speculate on this future city’s architecture, urbanism, and landscape architecture.

M.Arch degree or other Graduate degree in Architecture preferred. Proven record of teaching foundation design studios at the M. Arch and/or B.A./B.Arch level.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of contemporary architectural pedagogy and the current state of the discipline, at both practical and theoretical levels, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Attending meetings required by studio coordinator
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Managing digital teaching materials
- Supervision of teaching assistants
- Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
- Marking of student work
- Submission of grades
- Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours
