Sentinel - Technical Services Engineer; T02 Level

Role Overview

Technical Services Engineer (T02) – Sentinel Program – Roy, Utah – Northrop Grumman Defense Systems.

• Conduct gap analyses of knowledge and skill levels and translate the findings into targeted training tasks and effective learning solutions.
• Design and develop training products for multiple modalities, including online, in‑person, hybrid, synchronous and asynchronous formats.
• Develop a comprehensive suite of training materials—including instructor‑led sessions, microlearning modules, interactive online courses, and on‑the‑job qualification/certification programs—under direct supervision.
• Write technical and creative documentation, including the creation of training CDRLs.
• Stay current with training‑and‑development research—learning theory, emerging software tools, and industry standards—and apply insights to design decisions.
• Evaluate and, when needed, oversee contractors or vendors responsible for developing training courseware.
• Design curricula that conform to current SCORM standards.

• Bachelor of Science in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Human Performance, Training and Learning Development, Psychology, Marketing, or related field, with 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master’s degree.
• Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience designing learning materials for technical disciplines.
• Experience developing learning materials for technical disciplines.
• Experience developing technology‑based learning products.
• Experience creating formative and summative evaluations for technical disciplines.
• Experience working in ADDIE and other training development models for technical disciplines.
• Experience applying adult learning theories and process‑driven instructional design principles.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of human performance processes to break down knowledge and skill gaps to identify appropriate learning solutions.
• Experience with digital instructional design software (e.g., Camtasia, Storyline, Adobe Captivate/Creative Suite).
• Multimedia design experience (audio/video editing, 2D/3D design, animation, software simulation, etc.).
• Experience using multiple instructional development software tools.
• Experience in conducting training evaluations in accordance with Kirkpatrick 4 levels of evaluation and Phillips 5 levels of evaluation.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
