SESSIONAL LECTURER for FALL 2026 Term, at 0.5 FTE – CUPE 3902 Unit 3
Course DescriptionThis course serves as a post-practicum capstone course allowing students to integrate information learned from their core hygiene courses and practicum experiences to further develop the fundamental principles and skills required for the professional practice of occupational hygiene.
Course Learning Objectives- Analyze and interpret basic occupational hygiene data
- Communicate/translate scientific information about occupational hazards to various end users including management and workers.
- Evaluate peer-reviewed scientific literature relevant to occupational health and/or hygiene.
- Explain how scientific findings could potentially be used or implemented into practice.
- Manage ethical issues related to the practice of occupational hygiene.
- Recognize, anticipate and prioritize hazards in provided workplace scenarios.
- Explain the role of occupational hygiene in the occupational health and safety system.

QualificationsPhD or equivalent experience; expertise in Occupational Hygiene
Description of DutiesAll normal duties related to teaching a university credit course, including course planning and implementation, weekly teaching, student interaction, evaluation & grading. Maintain regular contact with Program Director.
