In compliance with applicable laws established by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA/AA), work directly with students with disabilities to facilitate individualized academic accommodation plans to ensure equal educational opportunity for individuals with disabilities.
Assist with outreach and awareness of disability at WSU-sponsored events.
Engage in work at all campus locations and in the community with a sometimes non‑standard work schedule requiring adaptability and flexibility. Face‑to‑face and some virtual, Monday – Friday with occasional evenings and weekend hours. Professional travel (local, regional, or national) on occasion.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree (social/behavioral sciences or education preferred).
- Two years experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Word Processing (Word, Word Perfect, and/or Google Docs);
Report Writing Experience;
Data Processing.
- Ability to resolve conflict, manage complex processes with attention to detail, and professional competencies in both individual and team work.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of relevant laws and policies.
- Experience with judgement, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with expertise in planning, implementing, and assessing student programs and services.
- Criminal background check required as a condition of employment.

Expressing or exchanging ideas. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately or quickly. Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance.
Physical Requirements of this PositionSedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever. Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Not required.
Conditions of EmploymentThe worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
