DescriptionCore Course in the Environmental Engineering Minor A course which treats environmental engineering from a broad based but quantitative perspective and covers the driving forces for engineering activities as well as engineering principles. Models which are used for environmental impact, risk analysis, health impact, pollutant dispersion, and energy system analysis are covered.
Minimum QualificationsCompletion of an advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Engineering. Background / specialization in subject area is required. Candidates in progress of advanced degree completion (applies to non-University of Toronto graduate students) relevant professional experience and designations may also be considered. We are seeking candidates with strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to teaching. Previous teaching in the subject area or related area is highly desirable.
Preferred QualificationsBackground in chemical or civil engineering. Prior teaching experience at the University or College level is highly desirable.
Duties- Developing a course syllabus and course materials (e.g., assignments, tests, exams).
- Instructing / teaching, and testing.
- Conducting office hours.
- Coordinating tutorials with TA assistance.
- Marking / grading assessments (quizzes, tests, assignments, exams).
- Providing constructive feedback to students.

Sessional Lecturer 1 - $ 9,997.48;
Sessional Lecturer 1 Long Term - $ 10,699.22;
Sessional Lecturer 2 - $10,699.22;
Sessional Lecturer 2 Long Term - $10,953.96;
Sessional Lecturer 3 - $10,953.96 and Sessional Lecturer 3 Long Term - $11,228.90. Should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the Collective Agreement shall prevail.
