Position OverviewAs our Medical Assistant Instructor, you'll lead engaging classroom and hands-on lab instruction while creating a positive learning environment where students develop into skilled healthcare professionals. This is a full-time position with Monday-Thursday teaching hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and occasional Friday coverage.
Competitive salary: $65K-$70K, plus exceptional benefits including fully paid medical, 20.4% employer retirement contributions, and generous paid time off.
Core Responsibilities- Deliver daily lectures and hands-on lab-based instruction that connect students to real-world industry needs
- Develop and maintain syllabi, curriculum, and lesson plans aligned with industry standards and latest healthcare practices
- Create diverse, active learning experiences with emphasis on hands-on, practical skills
- Assign grades and provide timely feedback that support student growth and confidence
- Track student performance and progress; refer students to support services proactively when needed
- Help ensure students graduate, pass licensure exams, and secure employment in the field
- Maintain classroom and lab readiness for daily activities and adhere to all safety standards
- Collaborate with the program team to refine curriculum and build partnerships with industry professionals
- Stay current with industry advancements and adjust curriculum accordingly
- Support accreditation compliance (COE standards) and maintain required documentation
- Partner with the director, admissions, and recruiters to build strong student cohorts
- Actively participate as a collaborative member of the program team
- Mentor adjunct instructors as needed

- 5+ years of industry experience in Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, Nursing, or related patient care
- NHA CCMA certification (or ability to pass the CCMA exam within 6 months of hire)
- Hands-on clinical experience (patient care, vitals, procedures, point-of-care testing, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Instructional experience preferred
Occasionally sit, stand, reach, lift, and bend; ability to handle items weighing 25 lbs or less; manual dexterity and ability to follow written/oral instructions
