The Electrical Engineer will help drive innovation by designing, developing, and testing electrical devices and equipment while managing the manufacturing process, using design software to produce schematics, and overseeing the installation of their designs.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

* Design and construct printed circuit board assemblies, passive filter circuits, electrical subassembly schematics, and electrical block diagrams.

* Use KiCAD, Altium, Visio, or other schematic/diagram software.

* Support mechanical engineers to design 3D harness routing in Solid Works.

* Design, assemble, and test electronics shielding and electromagnetic interference filters and electromagnetic compatibility.

* Test systems to meet radiated and conducted emissions requirements, electromagnetic susceptibility requirements, and to meet constant and transient voltage requirements.

* Use programming knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.

* Prepare operating instructions and programs for equipment.

* Oversee integration of design builds to ensure they function according to specifications.

* Evaluate prototypes to ensure the capability to complete desired functions.

* Analyze alternative techniques and methods and recommend changes to processes or procedures as needed.

* Share technical information and training with other departments.

* Solder wires, integrated circuits, and other circuit elements.

* Maintain electrical documentation.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college

* Minimum 2+ years of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetic theory, and power systems

* Minimum 1 + years of experience of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools used to design and test electrical systems, preferably Altium

* Minimum 1 + years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex engineering problems

* Proficient in engineering role with a moderate degree of independence and some additional oversight or guidance

* Manages and owns their own responsibilities (such as building up on a test bench and the test program for an ME) with some assistance

* Capable of receiving well defined specific problem statements and executing

* Acts as the secondary technical point of contact for internal stakeholders

* Possesses a rudimentary understanding of the previously listed aerospace and space disciplines

* Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetic theory, and power systems.

* Understanding of relevant industry and governments standards and regulations, (DO-160, MIL-STD-704)

* Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools used to design and test electrical systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex engineering problems.

* Excellent communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with team members.

* Attention to detail to ensure that designs are accurate, reliable, and safe.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects.

* Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changes in project requirements or technology.
