Staff Electrical Engineer

Location:

Roy, UT. Relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities
  • Execute design and development of flight systems across a broad spectrum of applications.
  • Procure and manufacture components and systems.
  • Integrate and test novel flight systems.
  • Create functional block diagrams (Visio preferred).
  • Capture schematics (Altium preferred).
  • Perform electrical simulation with PSPICE.
  • Develop electrical requirements and assist system engineers.
  • Conduct electrical analysis for compliance with requirements.
  • Generate electrical interface control documents.
  • Design electrical system architecture, including grounding, power distribution, communication buses, and discrete signaling.
  • Select electrical components and subsystems.
  • Design analog circuits.
  • Coordinate basic electrical subsystem design.
Qualifications (Required)
  • 12 years with a Bachelor’s in Science; 10 years with a Master’s; or 8 years with a PhD.
  • 2+ years of experience leading Electrical Engineering or technical teams.
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience for hypersonic, flight, or missile systems.
  • Active Secret clearance at the time of application, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable period.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FPGA.
  • Hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.
  • Ability to present complex technical programs to non‑technical personnel and customers.
  • Experience with CEM modeling tools such as HFSS.
  • Cable design and testing.
  • Engineering for EMI/EMC/ESD compliance, Mil‑Std‑464.
  • Role as Responsible Engineer (RE) for electronics subsystems.
  • Management of third‑party contractors and vendors.

Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).

Position contingent upon contract award.
