Community Planner

As a Community Planner at J-U-B Engineers, you will support and lead planning efforts for transportation, water, wastewater, aviation, and municipal infrastructure projects across the Inland Northwest and Intermountain West. You will perform research, data analysis, mapping, and prepare comprehensive plans, master plans, and development reviews. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and clients, facilitate public outreach and agency coordination, and help secure project funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support community and land use planning projects for public and private clients across the Inland Northwest and Intermountain West
• Conduct research, data analysis, and mapping to support transportation, water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure planning
• Prepare comprehensive plans, corridor studies, master plans, and development reviews with clear technical documentation
• Facilitate public outreach, stakeholder meetings, and presentations to communicate planning concepts and project impacts
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers in a multidisciplinary, employee-owned environment
• Prepare reports, graphics, and planning documents that meet local, state, and federal requirements
• Assist with grant applications, funding strategies, and permitting support for community infrastructure projects
• Coordinate with agencies, jurisdictions, and community groups to align projects with local plans and policies
