Wealth Management, Financial Advisor / Consultant
You know how to earn trust in high-stakes conversations. Now you're ready to build a financial-advisor career — without starting from an empty calendar.
At Stauffer Retirement Planning, you'll step into a founder-led retirement practice with a defined planning method, active marketing and seminar support, a client-service team, and people who have already raised their hands for help. Your job: turn that opportunity into meetings, clear recommendations, decisions, and long-term client relationships.
Expected first-year total compensation is $50,000–$150,000 — negotiable, not commission-only, and structured as a base salary plus a meaningful percentage of the revenue you generate.
- Learn our 10-Year Method and the way we guide families through retirement income, tax strategy, investment risk, health and longevity, and legacy decisions.
- Shadow founder Collin Stauffer, help prepare plans, and begin working real prospect opportunities quickly.
- Lead discovery and recommendation meetings as you earn responsibility, ask for the business, and follow through until the prospect makes a decision.
- Build an active calendar through disciplined calling, appointment setting, preparation, and follow-up — coordinating cleanly with planning, client experience, marketing, and administration.
- A boutique, education-first retirement practice with an established Northern Utah office and a recognizable client proposition.
- Founder-led training, real client exposure, a defined planning process, and increasing ownership of prospect and client conversations as your judgment and results grow.
- Marketing, seminars, planning preparation, onboarding, client experience, and administrative support — plus access to people who have already expressed interest in help.
You may already be an advisor or planning associate. You may be a high-performing consultative seller in banking, insurance, mortgages, benefits, healthcare, or another trust-intensive field, deliberately moving into advice. Or you may be a recent finance or financial-planning graduate who chose this career on purpose.
We care more about demonstrated trust-building, closing ability, activity discipline, coachability, and follow-through than a conventional resume.
- A Series 65 or Series 66 (or a CFP, CPA, or CFA designation), active by your start date.
- A life insurance license, active by your start date.
- The ability to work from our Lehi office and meet clients across the Northern Utah market.
Not licensed yet? The Series 65 requires no firm sponsorship, and the life license is a state exam — show us a credible fast path, like an exam already scheduled or study underway with time to pass before you start.
This is a producing advisor role, not a permanent service-only or salary-only position. It won't fit if you're looking for an inherited book or to service someone else's clients. We provide opportunity, coaching, and support; you own the activity, follow-up, and decision. Your results decide where you land in that compensation range — the exact base, percentage, and benefits are agreed directly with you.
This is an office-centered role at 170 S 1200 E in Lehi, Utah, serving clients across Northern Utah. If you want to become a self-sufficient advisor in a close-knit firm that will teach you, support you, and hold you accountable for results, we'd like to meet you.
