Where you'll be working

Mental Health Inpatient Unit, St George Mental Health Service, located on the St George Hospital campus, Kogarah.

Rotating roster undertaken by working 4 × 10hr shifts per week. The rotating roster includes 10hr shifts covering mornings, midday and afternoons, with the inclusion of weekends and public holidays, accompanied with attractive penalty rates. Employees may have the opportunity for overtime work as available.

Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues and an ability to work within an acute mental health setting
  • Commitment to interact with patients and facilitate unit activities
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties and tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Good written/verbal skills and sound computer and keyboard skills
  • Current Class 1 C NSW drivers licence (unrestricted) and current 1 A Security licence
  • Demonstrated experience in the security and/or health industry and knowledge of duress alarm systems
  • Sound knowledge of WH&S issues and understanding of the requirement for strict confidentiality
