Ultrasound Technologist - Part Time (20 Hours/Week)

Location: St. George Regional Hospital
Pay Range: $38.77 - $59.82/hour (Based on experience)

Essential Job Duties
  • Maintains American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification and modality specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
  • Ensures proper patient identification and order verification; prepares patients for exams.
  • Performs exams according to department protocol and reviews images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Completes studies within established time frames without compromising patient care or quality.
  • Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Technologists in protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment operation.
  • Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
  • Practices proper infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Operates ultrasound equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
  • Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
  • Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failure reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including successful completion of at least one specialty registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
