Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in St. George, Utah.

- Ensures proper patient identification and order verification; prepares patients for exams.
- Performs MRI examinations per department protocol.
- Demonstrates competency in cross-sectional anatomy and anatomical positioning.
- Critiques own images to ensure quality.
- Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care.
- Selects appropriate scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with the radiologist.
- Administers IV contrast (Gadolinium) under physician/radiologist supervision.
- Practices proper infection control and sterile techniques.
- Operates MRI equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
- Views, transfers, archives, and manipulates images electronically.
- Troubleshoots MRI scanner issues and understands startup/shutdown procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of magnet systems, cryogens, gradient amplifiers, and related hardware/software.
- Understands and follows Quench procedures and MRI safety policies (Four Zone concept).
- Maintains accurate documentation, time stamps, and image storage.
- Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consent documentation, QC (ACR standards), and equipment reporting.

Required:
Minimum 1+ year of MRI Tech experience
- ARRT – RT (R)(MR) – Required
- ARRT – RT (MR) – Required
- Utah State License – NOT required if ARRT is active
- BLS (AHA) – Required
