About the roleWe are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our primary care clinic. This role is essential in supporting providers, delivering excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is bilingual, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive experience for patients. Experience with phlebotomy is a strong plus.
What you'll do Clinical Support- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and minor treatments
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards
- Administer injections and medications as ordered (per scope and clinic policy)
- Perform phlebotomy/blood draws (preferred)
- Collect, label, and process specimens appropriately
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families
- Serve as a bilingual resource to support patient understanding and access to care
- Educate patients on basic care instructions, medications, and follow-up steps
- Respond to patient questions and concerns in a professional manner
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and care coordination as needed
- Manage clinic supplies and equipment
- Support workflow efficiency and provider needs throughout the day
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English highly preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic environment
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
- Phlebotomy experience and comfort with blood draws
- Primary care or family medicine experience
- Experience with EMR systems
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic during scheduled shifts
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed
- Comfortable working in a clinical setting with direct patient interaction
