IT Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cutover Lead to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of system and process transitions. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless go‑live with minimal disruption to business operations, aligning multiple teams, managing risks, and maintaining clear communication throughout the cutover process. It will be hired on a 2‑year Fixed Term Contract.

2008 project. - Coordinate and align cutover activities across development, testing, infrastructure, business operations, and external vendors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the cutover process, implementing contingency plans as required.
- Define and maintain the cutover checklist, ensuring all prerequisites are met and activities completed according to plan.
- Lead cutover rehearsals and mock runs, proactively resolving issues to ensure readiness for go‑live.
- Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress and risks.
- Manage and allocate cutover resources, ensuring appropriate staffing and availability.
- Oversee data migration, validation, and reconciliation during the cutover phase.
- Develop and implement rollback strategies to address unforeseen issues during go‑live.
- Conduct post‑cutover reviews, documenting lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Ensure full compliance with SS&C Bluedoor’s change management policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cutover Lead, Migration Manager, or similar role on large‑scale IT projects, preferably within financial services or superannuation.
- Proven track record managing complex cutover activities across multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and change management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
- Outstanding problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project and Jira.
- Experience with data migration strategies, validation, and associated tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during critical cutover periods.
- Prior experience with SS&C Bluedoor products or similar superannuation administration platforms is highly desirable.
