One of our clients who is a global, not‑for‑profit professional membership association for investment professionals is seeking a highly skilled IT Sourcing Category Manager specializing in strategic IT outsourcing providers to join their growing team. This individual will need to be located in either North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida or Georgia and this position will be fully remote. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving value across IT outsourcing categories such as application development, infrastructure services, cloud operations, and managed services.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between procurement objectives and enterprise technology goals. Other responsibilities include:

• Category Strategy Development: Define and implement sourcing strategies for IT outsourcing providers, aligned with business priorities.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with strategic IT vendors, ensuring performance and innovation.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations covering commercial terms, service levels, and risk management.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform sourcing decisions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT leadership, finance, and legal teams to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity standards in outsourcing agreements.
• Performance Management: Establish KPIs and governance frameworks to track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relative field of stud
• 3-5 years of related experience with IT outsourcing
• Experience with managing strategic supply chain (ex. tier suppliers, map stakeholders, PLS, categorization)
• Financial services background is a plus

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00/hr (can be flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm

Hiring Method: 6 month contract to potential permanent hire

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
