Overview

Maintaining and inspecting buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, and grounds. Directly responsible for assigned branches, lease space, and raw property.

Performs preventative maintenance, makes repairs, and assists, supervises, and directs outside service personnel and vendors as needed. Reports major repairs and maintenance needs. Conducts safe deposit box drilling process. Replaces elements of asphalt, roofs, landscaping, lighting, carpet, etc. that need repair. Assists with all refurbishes, remodels, and new construction set‑up processes. Conducts training for groups and new employees. Coordinates preventative maintenance with outside vendors on all major replacements.

Handles ADA and OSHA situations. Attends required trainings and meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for effective performance of assigned facility maintenance functions.
  • Operate building equipment and utilities systems to maintain proper heat, cooling, power, water, plumbing, etc. Assist outside service representatives in checking, maintaining, and repairing building equipment.
  • Respond promptly to facility needs submitted by branch personnel in the Facility Management system. Document and complete tasks associated with the Facility Management system.
  • Maintain all branch‑associated equipment. Conduct inspections and tests, and maintain logs and records reflecting results. Visit each designated branch facility at least twice monthly to determine maintenance needs.
  • Conduct quarterly walkthroughs of branch locations to meet safety and maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with branch managers to ensure buildings are clean and secure.
  • Perform maintenance on all door locks, card readers, pin pads, door closers, etc.
  • Perform minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhaul work.
  • Coordinate and assist with outside service and repair work. Hire vendors and service providers as assigned. Follow up on work reviews and ensure efficient completion.
  • Complete purchase orders for supplies as requested.
  • Meet with members and designated branch or department employees to open and rotate safety deposit boxes.
  • Submit insurance claims for building damages as necessary.
  • Provide 24‑hour on‑call service as assigned (weekend coverage may be included).
  • Complete assigned maintenance functions in accordance with established policies and procedures, ADA regulations, and OSHA regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination and working relationships with credit union personnel, management, vendors and service providers.
  • Assist credit union personnel as needed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities, significant problems or maintenance concerns.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required. Complete required records and reports.
  • Assist vendors and service providers as needed. Monitor vendors’ performance.
  • Oversee all landscaping, snow removal, HVAC and janitorial functions with vendors.
  • Provide related information, advice, and suggestions to credit union personnel as requested.
  • Perform miscellaneous or specially requested tasks such as rearranging furniture, cleaning and storing equipment, and other jobs as assigned.
  • Assist in set‑up of new branches.
  • Complete assigned training and certifications.
  • Act as first responder to branch managers in case of emergency.
  • Coordinate multiple preventive maintenance projects.
  • Assist in the refurbish process of assigned buildings and branches.
Performance Measurements
  • Buildings and equipment are clean, well‑maintained and in good repair.
  • Preventative maintenance and repairs are effectively performed in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Maintenance needs and problems are promptly identified and resolved or reported.
  • Maintenance functions are well coordinated with other branch and department operations; assistance is provided as needed.
  • Management is appropriately informed of area activities.
  • Outside service providers are optimally utilized and assisted as needed.
  • Completes all required trainings and certifications.
