Day On The Job As An Operator

As an SMT Operator you will follow assembly procedures, use hand, power tools and test equipment, and perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and aligning components. You will set up, assemble, repair, test, and package final and sub‑assemblies while maintaining quality and output standards. The role also includes operating test equipment, documenting and reporting discrepancies, maintaining inventory accuracy, and performing housekeeping duties such as sweeping and basic maintenance.

Additional duties may be assigned and responsibilities may evolve over time.

Work Schedule

These positions are full-time, Monday through Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role is seasonal for up to six months; employment may be terminated during that period. Depending on company needs and performance, the position may become permanent.

This Job May Be For You If You Can
  • Sit or stand for up to 12 hours a day
  • Walk distances across the production area
  • Perform frequent, repetitive elbow movements
  • Reach, grasp, grip, and provide fine manipulation with hands
  • Work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines
  • IPC certification; soldering experience is a plus, but not required
