We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee reinforcing steel projects with a primary focus on commercial rebar supply, detailing coordination, fabrication, and delivery. This role manages projects from contract award through final shipment, ensuring production schedules, material flow, and customer commitments are met. The ideal candidate understands rebar detailing, fabrication operations, and supply chain coordination and can manage multiple projects in a fast paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities Project Management and Coordination- Manage rebar supply projects from confirmed order through final delivery and closeout
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to confirm scope, quantities, and production requirements
- Coordinate detailing schedules, approvals, revisions, and releases
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, detailers, fabricators, and logistics teams
- Track revisions, RFIs, and change orders impacting production or quantities
- Plan and manage fabrication schedules to align with customer job site needs
- Coordinate raw material availability, bar lists, and production sequencing
- Monitor fabrication progress and address bottlenecks or delays
- Work closely with plant supervision to balance workload and priorities
- Ensure fabricated material meets quality standards and project specifications
- Coordinate delivery schedules, trucking, and jobsite sequencing
- Communicate shipment timelines and changes to customers and internal teams
- Resolve delivery conflicts, access limitations, or scheduling changes
- Ensure accurate tracking of shipped, pending, and remaining material
- Manage project budgets related to material, fabrication, freight, and detailing
- Track job costs and address variances proactively
- Prepare and process change orders for scope revisions or schedule impacts
- Review billing milestones tied to fabrication and shipment progress
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Coordinate resolution of quality issues, shortages, or fabrication errors
- Maintain accurate project documentation and production records
- Confirm all material has been fabricated, shipped, and invoiced
- Coordinate final drawings, paperwork, and customer documentation
- Participate in post project reviews and process improvement discussions
- Experience managing rebar supply, fabrication, or production driven construction projects
- Strong understanding of rebar detailing, bar lists, fabrication processes, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Clear, professional communication skills with customers and internal teams
- Experience working for a rebar fabricator or reinforcing steel supplier
- Familiarity with production management systems and scheduling tools
- Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or infrastructure rebar supply
- Experience coordinating detailing and fabrication across multiple projects
- Office based with regular interaction with fabrication facilities
- Fast paced, production driven environment requiring adaptability and follow through
- Fabrication completed on schedule with minimal disruption
- Accurate quantities, clean bar lists, and well managed revisions
- Strong coordination between customers, detailers, and production teams
- Projects delivered smoothly with predictable outcomes and satisfied customers
