Location: St. George

Graymont’s Cricket Mountain Plant in Delta, Utah is seeking a Lab Technician to support safe, consistent, specification-compliant production through product sampling, laboratory testing, data recording, and close coordination with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect product and process samples in accordance with plant quality procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing to verify product quality and support specification compliance.
  • Record, review, and communicate test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, testing supplies, and a clean, organized work area.
  • Support troubleshooting by identifying unusual results, trends, or potential process issues.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to support safe, efficient plant performance.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
  • Assist with documentation, shift records, and other plant reporting as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in chemistry, laboratory science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial laboratory, manufacturing environment, mining, lime, cement, aggregates, or related process industry preferred.
  • Ability to follow standardized testing procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills for entering data, completing reports, and using plant systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross‑functional plant teams.
  • Understanding of safe work practices in an industrial environment.
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • Work may take place in laboratory and plant areas, including exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and changing temperatures.
  • Must be able to work safely around industrial equipment and processes.
  • May be required to lift, carry, push, or move materials and equipment as part of daily duties.
  • Must be able to access various areas of the plant, which may include heights and confined spaces, consistent with site safety procedures and job requirements.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all site safety policies.
