The Rework Tech 1 is responsible for troubleshooting and correcting manufacturing solder defects and test failures on printed circuit board assemblies including removal and replacement of components. Be able to read and interpret assembly drawings and follow work instructions. Have strong component identification skill. Must have strong hand soldering skills, be able to solder under a Mantis Microscope and able to solder with the use of a video inspection system.
Assist production with soldering and testing as needed.
- Repairs defective surfaces and circuitry on printed circuit boards (PCBs), using power hand tools, utilizing knowledge of electronic repair techniques
- Positions PCBs under microscope to examine circuitry
- Repairs defective circuitry using hand tools and soldering
- Cleans repaired boards with solvent using brush rags
- Inspects boards to define that repairs meet specifications
- Member of the OE team and completed at least 3 projects
- Proven understanding and execution of 5S principles.
- Other tasks as assigned
- Sit for up to 8 hours a day
- Capable of walking distances
- High School Diploma required
- 2 year degree preferred
- Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- 1 year in a similar position
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines
- 2+ years in a similar position
- Solder certification preferred
Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
