Position

Principal/Sr Principal Project Manager

Location & Program

Roy, UT – supports the Sentinel program to enhance US Space Force’s ICBM capabilities and usher in a new era of Strategic Deterrence.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with program assignment managers.
  • Integrate between program segments and supporting functional teams.
  • Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, assess project issues and develop resolutions.
  • Monitor and report project progress, identify interventions, and problem‑solve with senior management.
  • Evaluate and report health metrics for the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Coordinate schedules and provide liaison assistance between interfacing IPTs.
  • Ensure IPT compliance with program processes and procedures and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate and prepare executive and customer presentations.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and track preparation and submission of contract and other data deliverables.
  • Coordinate and manage efforts surrounding key program events.
  • Communicate with upper‑level leadership and across all elements and sub‑elements within SEIT.
Qualifications
  • Principal – Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years, or PhD and 1 year, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Sr Principal – Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years, or PhD and 4 years, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance and, if required, Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
  • At least 1 year (Principal) or 4 years (Sr Principal) of leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • Demonstrated track record in project management, execution, closeout, and ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects with many stakeholders.
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project). Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers.
  • Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communication.
  • Capable of working with minimal direction; independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high‑level review.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • PMP certification.
  • Firm understanding and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Experience interacting effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations.
  • Executive presence and comfort in high‑level communications.
  • 1 year (Principal) or 3 years (Sr Principal) of experience with EVMS principles and application, or as a Cost Account Manager.
  • Experience establishing Strategy, Roadmap, Vision artifacts; using SAP, Windows software, Atlassian Tool Suite, and other electronic databases.
  • Proficient in Agile Development.

Work Schedule

The 9/80 schedule:
Monday‑Thursday nine‑hour days with every other Friday off.
