Production Manager / Food Manufacturing

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)

What You’ll Do:

As a Production Manager
, you’ll lead manufacturing execution across multiple production lines and help drive continuous improvement that strengthens safety, quality, and productivity. This Production Manager role provides first-level support to frontline employees and partners closely with key leaders across operations to keep production moving smoothly across all shifts.

  • Manage a team of 45–60 associates to meet Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure GMPs, metrics, and plant updates are communicated clearly
  • Review production schedules to identify gaps and risks, collaborating with Performance Manager, Supervisors, and peers to balance work
  • Uphold product quality, sanitation, and traceability through regular line and paperwork checks
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure production continuity and first-pass quality
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone) to reduce waste and improve OEE
Qualifications You Have:
  • Education: B.S. in Industrial (or related) Engineering preferred
  • Experience: 5–7+ years in food manufacturing, including leading teams
  • Leadership: Proven people leadership with the ability to rally teams and lead by example
  • Lean/TPS: Live and breathe Lean/TPS practices (JIT, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, etc.)
  • Technical/Operational: Strong mastery of production KPIs, especially OEE
  • Travel: Not specified
