Job Description
- Set up and operate CNC mills and turn mill equipment.
- Machine precision metal components to exact specifications.
- Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and machining requirements.
- Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Measure finished parts using micrometers and precision inspection tools.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and machining issues.
- Support CNC programming and verify new programs.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to improve quality and efficiency.
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience in metal manufacturing.
- Hands on CNC milling and/or turn mill experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to produce precision parts to tight specifications.
- Experience using micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to complete first shift training before transitioning permanently to second shift.
