Hope Reins Healing provides holistic, evidence-based mental health treatment for high-risk, low-income populations by providing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in Southern Utah. We also value horse rescue, with a heart for Mustangs, which we utilize in our program.

Our mission focuses on fostering hope and healing by offering a safe and serene environment where underserved clients partner with horses to develop life skills, address trauma and build community.

With a commitment to accessibility, we provide these transformative therapeutic services at no cost, eliminating financial barriers for those in need, utilizing a grant for those that qualify.

Role Description

This is a contracted position that can be remote. The Grants Writer will be responsible for developing and writing grant proposals, conducting prospect research to identify funding opportunities, managing grant submission processes, and ensuring grant compliance. The role also involves contributing to fundraising initiatives and maintaining relationships with funding organizations to secure ongoing support for the organization's mission. A strong history with helping non profits obtain funding is required and will be verified.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Grant Writing, Proposal Writing, and Grant Administration
  • Experience with Prospect Research and identifying potential funding sources
  • Knowledge of Fundraising strategies to support nonprofit objectives
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site team environment
  • Understanding of and passion for the nonprofit sector, especially mental health and equine therapy
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in grant writing and development in a nonprofit setting is required.
