Reports to the Supervisor of CASS and Manager of Quality Assurance/CASS to help administer the Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS). Focuses on performing General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Audits and other Internal and Special Audits as assigned. Requires exceptional attention to detail, effective communication skills (oral and written), ability to read and understand technical data, and an interest in researching complex topics in preparation for interviews with auditees.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Complete Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS) Audits, including:
- Internal Audits within the Sky West Maintenance Department
- Special Audits related to concerns identified through trends, alerts, and internal or external issues
- Input audit data into the Quality Management Software (RizePoint)
- Organize schedules to accomplish all assignments
- Communicate effectively with auditees
- Provide a summary of findings identified with backup explanations when required
- Follow up on overdue corrective action plans
- Perform additional duties as identified in Sky West Airlines’ General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Sections, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other manuals
- Organizational and scheduling skills

- Read and understand technical data
- Computer literacy:
- Microsoft Office including Word Processing (at least 40 wpm), Excel, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with Quality Management Software
- Experience with PDF editing applications
- Experience performing auditing techniques
- Familiarity with Quality Manuals, Operations Specifications, and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs)
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Safety, Risk Assessments, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Knowledge of Human Factors behavior and training
- Part‑time position (24–29 hours per week) located at Sky West Headquarters in St. George, UT. Not a remote position; requires residence in St. George or surrounding area.
