Location: St. George

Overview

Food Safety Specialist – protect food safety standards for hotel, restaurant®, and grocery clients. Work on-site to ensure brand compliance and deliver superior guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to measure compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
  • Observe food preparation and cooking procedures to verify food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
  • Partner with clients to address root causes of discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
  • Teach and coach clients on creating a safer, healthier work environment for employees and customers.
  • Travel 50%-70% (8-10 days/month), including evening and weekend work.
  • Perform audits and inspections of food services.
  • Implement and monitor food safety training programs.
  • Investigate food safety incidents and maintain incident documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible for CP‑FS certification (proof of credentials required).
  • Available Monday‑Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety preferred;
    Serv Safe and/or CP‑FS certification advantageous.
  • Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to influence others with tact and skill; provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Thrives in an autonomous working environment; can work a flexible schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work based on urgency and efficiency.
